TradeOnyx is a Progressive Web App (PWA). On any modern browser you can add it to your home screen and get a standalone launcher — no app store, no review, no extra download. Once installed, three things change:
1. Full-screen launch. No browser chrome, no URL bar. The dashboard fills the device. 2. Push notifications. Risk-limit alerts, end-of-day reminders and streak warnings arrive even when the tab is closed (you opt in once via Settings → Notifications). 3. Offline read-through. The briefing, recent news, recent trades and the overview keep rendering from the last successful payload when you lose connectivity — useful in trains, planes and dodgy coffee-shop Wi-Fi.
Installing changes the surface, not the data. Everything you see in the installed app comes from the same backend; nothing is locally simulated. The offline cache is short-lived (last successful response per endpoint) — once you reconnect, fresh data overwrites it. There is no manual sync step.
Uninstall just removes the launcher; your account, history and settings stay on the server. Reinstalling later picks up where you left off.
Android (Chrome / Edge / Samsung Internet): Open `tradeonyx.io`, log in, and you will see an "Add TradeOnyx to your home screen" banner at the top of the dashboard. Tap "Install app" — the system installer takes over from there. Alternatively, browser menu → "Install app" / "Add to Home screen".
iPhone / iPad (Safari): Open `tradeonyx.io` in Safari (not Chrome — Chrome on iOS cannot install PWAs). Tap the Share icon, scroll down and choose "Add to Home Screen". The dashboard banner shows the same instructions when it detects iOS Safari.
Desktop (Chrome / Edge): Look for the install icon in the address bar (a small monitor with a downward arrow), or use the browser menu → "Install TradeOnyx".
Firefox: PWA install is not supported on desktop Firefox. The web app still works fully in the browser tab — push notifications and offline cache included.
