What we did not verify

TradeZella advertises “500+ brokers” on its homepage through a connection layer. We could not establish which brokers those are, because the expected overview page was unreachable. This page therefore does NOT claim that TradeZella lacks German brokers. Check it yourself before deciding.
Edgewonk states “over 200 brokers”. We checked only their own import overview, and none of the eleven DACH brokers we looked for appeared there. That does not extend to platforms such as MetaTrader, which are covered extensively.
Feature depth cannot be compared honestly from marketing pages. If you are choosing between two tools, test both with your own trades.

What the others do better

A comparison in which the author's own product wins every row is not information. These points count against us:

Trade replay and automated backtests

TradeZella advertises replay of past price action and automated backtests. TradeOnyx has neither: backtesting was removed and a bar-replay view was deliberately dropped, because a journal should analyse what you did rather than simulate trading.

Breadth of broker coverage

We support 40 brokers with a dedicated schema plus a generic CSV importer. Both competitors state far higher numbers. If you use an unusual broker or a MetaTrader setup, your odds are better there.

Track record and public reviews

Edgewonk and TradeZella have been on the market for years and have the public reviews to match. TradeOnyx does not. If reviews are how you decide, you will find less here.

One-off purchase instead of a subscription

Edgewonk sells a licence rather than a subscription. If you object to recurring costs on principle, that model fits you better.

Which tool fits which trader

TradeOnyx fits if

you trade with a German or European broker, want to write in German, need an Anlage-KAP export, and care about which patterns repeat in your own trading. The free tier makes trying it risk-free.

TradeZella fits if

you trade with a large US broker or a prop firm, work in English, and value price-action replay and backtesting.
