TradeOnyx imports trades from the brokers DACH retail traders actually use — Trade Republic, Scalable Capital, DEGIRO, Comdirect, Flatex, ING-DiBa — plus XTB and a live API sync for the international set. Generic CSV is the catch-all for everyone else.

Your broker isn't listed? No problem — every trade can be logged manually or brought in through the generic CSV import, no broker connection required. All analytics work the same regardless of how your data gets into the journal.

Generic CSV import with custom column mapping
What gets imported
Every field your CSV contains — you choose what each column means
Whether a broker is listed answers half the question. The other half is what actually happens to the file, because that is where imports go wrong: a timezone that shifts every entry by an hour, partial fills that should be one position, or a statement whose dividend rows have no business in a trade log. Four routes exist, and the one your broker uses decides how much work you do.
Alpaca, Binance, Bybit, Coinbase, Kraken and OANDA connect with your own API key. Create it read-only: TradeOnyx needs no trading and no withdrawal permission, and a key without them cannot move money even if it leaks. Once connected, trades and balances arrive daily without you exporting anything. This is the only route where you never touch a file.
You export from the broker, drop the file into the import page, and a parser written for that broker's exact layout reads it. Presets exist for CSV, Excel and, where a broker refuses to export anything else, PDF statements. Because the parser knows the layout, it also knows what to ignore: dividend and tax rows in a securities statement are skipped rather than booked as trades.
Any broker without a preset still works: upload the file and map the columns once in a wizard. What TradeOnyx needs is a timestamp, symbol, direction, quantity and price per fill. Fees and swaps are used if present. The mapping is remembered, so the second import is a drop-and-confirm.
Buy and sell fills are paired per symbol and per account using FIFO into closed positions, so twelve partial fills become one trade rather than twelve. Gross result, commission and swap are summed per position. Timestamps are stored in UTC and displayed in your account's timezone, which is why the import asks for the SOURCE timezone of the file: get that wrong and every trade sits an hour or two off, which quietly ruins any analysis of your best hours.
Symbol names differ per broker, so the symbol mapper is per account and translates the broker's ticker into yours. Files up to 50 MB are accepted, which is more than a full year of an active account. And an import writes all-or-nothing: if a row fails validation, nothing is written, because a half-imported month is worse than an empty one.
Yes. The generic CSV import takes any export and lets you map the columns yourself, so a missing preset costs you one setup step, not the feature. If you tell us which broker it is, it becomes a candidate for a preset.
Read access only. Create the key without trading and without withdrawal rights: TradeOnyx never places an order and never moves funds, so those permissions add risk without adding function. Keys are stored encrypted and can be disconnected in the settings at any time, which deletes them.
Because broker exports rarely say which zone their timestamps are in. Trades are stored in UTC and displayed in your account's timezone; if the source zone is wrong, every entry shifts by that offset. It stays invisible in a P&L total and breaks every analysis that depends on time of day.
They are paired by FIFO per symbol and account into one closed position, with the fills' fees and swaps summed. You get one trade with an average entry and exit rather than a dozen rows.
Yes, without creating duplicates for rows already present. And an import is all-or-nothing: if one row fails validation the whole file is rejected, so you never end up with a partially imported month you would have to reconcile by hand.
